Hello,
I read that a fiance cannot transport their SPC Soldier to AIT unless the Soldier receives approval. I received a letter from my Soldier today saying that he asked his Platoon leader if I could transfer him, and they had no idea what he was talking about and seemed like they didn't really care who transported him. Is there a specific way we can gain this approval, so I can plan for the travel arrangements?
Thank you, Kiley McCloskey

Who can transport a Soldier to AIT is located in the FSG. Army regulations state only an immediate Family member (parents or spouse)however, any request should be made directly to a Drill not another Trainee as they wouldn't know much about it. And to gain approval they should put the request into the Drill Sgt. who will forward it to the command team for approval as long as the AIT location is on the approved list which can be found in the BC Letter.
Thanks, Rebecca
